Bryan Hedlind

Bryan’s practice emphasizes probate, trust and estate administration, and estate planning. Bryan’s clients appreciate his sensitive and thoughtful approach to their legal needs. He takes pride in providing legal solutions that are efficiently tailored to the unique needs of each client. As the founder of Hedlind Law, Bryan draws on his extensive experience representing clients in estate planning, probate, and trust and estate administration at respected probate and elder law firms in New York City and the Portland, Oregon area. 

Bryan is licensed to practice law in the states of New York and Oregon. He was born in Oregon and grew up on military bases across the country. He was a New York City high school Social Studies teacher before he began his legal career. He holds a B.A. in Politics from Pomona College (2003); an M.A. in Education from the City University of New York (2005); and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law (2010). 

While in law school, Bryan Hedlind participated in the groundbreaking case of In re Adoption of Sebastian (N.Y. Sur. Ct. 2009). The New York Law Journal called the decision “an important step in guaranteeing legal rights for same-sex parents” at that time. Bryan later represented the first surviving same-sex spouse to be recognized in a New York probate proceeding. Bryan is proud to serve the LGBTQ+ community at Hedlind Law.

Bryan enjoys spending his free time with his husband and their two young children and miniature Australian Shepherd.
